On July 7th, 2020, BRIDGE Housing and Berkeley Food and Housing Project planned to announce the groundbreaking of Berkeley Way, new affordable housing in Berkeley, California. Due to public health concerns surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, they couldn't have the public come together to celebrate.
The solution? A livestream for the public to enjoy on Facebook.
One problem: there was no internet connection or power at the location; after all, the new housing units have not yet been built.
In order to broadcast the signal on the wireless network, we didn't take any chances and opted for a 4-channel bonded 4G router. We also incorporated speeches recorded ahead of time via Zoom. We got around the power problem by using a Yeti 400 battery from GoalZero.
We were thrilled to help be a part of such a wonderful announcement for the city of Berkeley. This new project will impact local families and the greater community for generations to come.
